Wikis are a collaborative technology tool, which students can use to both read and present information. They can make this information public or private amongst themselves. The web pages can be created using any internet browser, making them accessible to virtually anyone who has internet access.
Possible uses include: collaborative group projects; written presentation of information learnt; class diaries/journals; learning to edit others' work; learning HTML language/formats; understanding the difference between useful and unnecessary information; reading, summarising, questioning and comprehension skills and activities; report writing.
